Saniderm Care (Adhesive Wrap)

Saniderm is a form of tattoo aftercare that ensures the safety and integrity of the inks along with keeping it clean and free from contaminants. I typically recommend my clients to leave the wrap on for 3-5 days. It is a water proof bandage, but do not submerge the tattoo in water (baths, pool, ocean, lakes, etc.) or scrub the tattoo during your shower. this time, make sure to stay out of direct sunlight and and try to refrain from sweating as much as possible. Avoid any types of physical activities that may result in scratching, rubbing or damaging that tattoo of any kind. You may notice an "ink sack." This is a combination of excess inks, blood, and plasma that your body releases in the beginning healing stages after being tattooed. THIS IS OKAY! Just leave it alone and try not to mess with it so the bandage doesn't loosen or fall off. When it is time to remove your bandage, remove it in the shower and slowly pull it downward as the water runs on it. (Pulling it of on dry skin WILL HURT) Rub gently with your finger tips until plasma residue and old ink is removed and you can feel your skin again. Pat dry with a paper clean paper towel. DO NOT RUB. Proceed to use a non scented lotion or recommended aftercare 2-3 times daily for 2-3 weeks. After this, apply 2-3 times a week to maintain the vibrancy of your tattoo.
